DAY 1
Johannesburg welcome
Private arrival and a welcome dinner with a JoburgStyle editor. Sleep in Johannesburg.
DAY 2
The city's stories
Studio visits and a Soweto afternoon with people from our features, then an early night. Sleep in Johannesburg.
DAY 3
Into the bush
Charter flight to a Big Five conservancy. Afternoon game drive. Sleep at the lodge.
DAY 4
Conservation in practice
Dawn drive, then time with the reserve's anti-poaching and research teams. Evening drive. Sleep at the lodge.
DAY 5
Bush day
Game drives morning and evening, a walking safari between. Sleep at the lodge.
DAY 6
Fly to the Okavango
Light-aircraft flight to Maun and on to a water camp in Botswana. Sunset mokoro trip through the channels. Sleep in the Delta.
DAY 7
The Delta
Mokoro and walking safari with a Delta guide, a slow afternoon, and a boat trip at dusk. Sleep in the Delta.
DAY 8
Victoria Falls
Fly to Victoria Falls. Guided tour of the Falls in the afternoon. Sleep at Victoria Falls.
DAY 9
The Zambezi
Optional helicopter flight over the Falls, then a sunset cruise on the Zambezi. Farewell dinner. Sleep at Victoria Falls.
DAY 10
Departure
Fly back to Johannesburg, or continue to an island finale in Mozambique.
