THE ITINERARY
DAY BY DAY.
DAY 1
Johannesburg to Malé
Overnight departure from OR Tambo. Arrival lounge assistance in Malé, then a private seaplane over the atolls — the transfer everyone remembers. Late lunch on your deck, and the rest of the day belongs to you.
DAY 2
The house reef
A morning with the resident marine biologist: snorkelling the house reef, reading the coral, and the coral restoration project you can plant into. Afternoon spa, evening dinner at the beach grill.
DAY 3
Dive day or drift day
Two guided dives on the outer channels — mantas and grey reef sharks in season — or a dhoni charter with nothing on it but a cooler and time. Sunset dolphin cruise on the way back.
DAY 4
Sandbank and stars
A private sandbank set for two: chef, table, ice, and nobody within sight. Back to the island for the astronomer's deck once the moon is down.
DAY 5
Ocean and quiet
A catamaran morning, an island picnic, and the afternoon free. Dinner in the underwater cellar, matched by the sommelier.
DAY 6
Local water
A morning in a nearby island community with a guide who lives there — boatyards, breakfast, and the Maldives most visitors never see. Sunset fishing, your catch cooked to order.
DAY 7
The last slow day
No plans. Spa, reef, deck, in whatever order. A farewell dinner under lanterns on the beach.
DAY 8
Malé to Johannesburg
Seaplane back at your pace, lounge access in Malé, and the flight home. Late check-out held wherever the schedule allows.
